Shlichut - שליחות

Shlichut is a Hebrew term that denotes the dispatching or commissioning of individuals on outreach initiatives. It generally refers to programs spearheaded and participated in by organizations and agencies, underpinned by robust values and ideological tenets.

These missions employ a structured set of actions over a designated timeframe to further advocacy efforts. Among the advocacy programs are humanitarian endeavors aimed at alleviating hunger, providing assistance to the Jewish Diaspora, and promoting cultural awareness through the arts and educational outreach.

Prior to embarking on a mission, all Shlichut participants undergo rigorous training and a meticulous screening process to assess their preparedness. The majority of these participants are young, energetic, and dynamic professionals in their early to mid-twenties or thirties. Numerous Jewish organizations and agencies have recognized the paramount importance and efficacy of youthful emissaries in connecting with fellow Jewish youth in the Diaspora.
